Description
The Pirelli XL SCORPION 2 (ELECT-EV) is a Winter tire in size 235/55R20 engineered for electric vehicles demanding stability at higher speeds across cold-weather driving. This tire combines a specialized rubber compound that remains pliable below 7°C with deep tread geometry designed to maintain grip on highway surfaces in snow and ice. The reinforced structure supports EV weight while minimizing rolling resistance to extend driving range.
- Vehicle Fit: This size fits many sedans and crossovers, including the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Toyota Corolla, and Honda Civic. For exact fitment, check the tire size sticker inside your driver-side door or use the tire size search on the migotire.com homepage.
- Seasonal Performance: The tire features a flexible rubber compound for cold adhesion and dense siping across the tread for ice traction. Deep grooves penetrate packed snow effectively. This tire carries the 3PMSF severe-snow rating, meeting Transport Canada’s winter performance standard for Canadian road conditions.
- Load & Speed Rating: Load Index 105 supports 925 kg (2,039 lbs) per tire—sufficient capacity for a typical passenger vehicle with occupants and cargo. Speed Rating V permits operation up to 240 km/h, providing a safety margin for highway driving.
- Tire Type: EV-specific tires are reinforced to handle the extra weight of battery packs and the instant torque delivered by electric motors. They feature low rolling resistance to reduce energy consumption and integrated noise-dampening foam to maintain cabin comfort in vehicles without engine sound.
